Former Physician Accused of Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Prosecutors report that a former physician has been charged with performing sexual assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.

Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous acts of sexual assault â comprising some against children younger than 13 â between 2017 and 2021.
A senior prosecutor commented, âOur prosecutors have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.â
Scope of the Investigation
These allegations come after what investigators called a âcomplex investigationâ into reported sexual offences at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five sexual offences include:
- 15 counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
