Ukraine has announced the start of large-scale manufacturing for a new locally engineered defensive UAV to reinforce its aerial protection systems. Three initial manufacturers have started manufacturing, with 11 more preparing to set up production lines, Ukrainian military officials announced this past Friday.

The drones will be based on a domestically developed technology called “Octopus” engineered to intercept Iranian-made drones.
